Bhagavad Gita - Chapter 10, Verse 9

“With their thoughts fixed on me,

With their lives absorbed in me,

Enlightening one another about me,

Always speaking of my glory,

They find peace and delight.”

Swami Shivananda:

“The characteristics of devotees who have realized the Self are described in this verse.  Constantly thinking of the Lord, their very lives are absorbed in him.  They have consecrated their whole lives to the Lord.

According to another interpretation, all their senses which function because of Prana are absorbed in him.  They take immense delight in talking about him, about his supreme wisdom, power, and other divine attributes.

It says in the Puranas:  ‘The sum total of the sensual pleasures of this world and also the great pleasures of the divine regions are not worth a sixteenth part of that bliss which proceeds from the eradication of cravings.’ ”

Paramahansa Yogananda:

“Yogis with steady wisdom, having withdrawn their minds from the excitements and bewilderments of the cosmic drama, experience an endless satisfaction that is unknown to seekers of sense pleasures.  Just as prisoners, regaining their liberty after many years, are suffused with happiness, so too Yogis, emerging from the confinement of numerous incarnations into the freedom of spiritual identity, are permeated by inexhaustible joy.

They commune together to give expression to their overflowing love for God.  Such joy and contentment of the spirit prompt them to cry: ‘I am full, O Lord!  In Thyself I have found all treasure.’ ”
