Here are a list of major meta-programs from Dr. John Lilly's Programming and Meta-Programming the Human Biocomputer (now condensed to Programming the Human Biocomputer).  I believe Programs and Meta-Programs could be referred to as belief systems.  Dr. Lilly thought of them in terms of computer programs--this was back in 1967.  So, below I believe (it's been twenty years since I read this book) are listed different categories of belief systems.

This book has really influenced my thinking over the years and I would imagine to be really really interesting to allot of the people attracted to this site.  The book is $10 on a Kindle.  Buy it now and you will not be disappointed--assuming you are really stoked by the idea of open source religion.  If you don't get open source religion, you shouldn't even try to read this book.  It is a very academic and a bit dry.

External Reality Metaprograms

This metaprogram operates programs which interlock with the outside body systems.  These systems include all of the external reality.  Human beings are a defined part of the external reality. . . .

Self-Metaprograms

Self-Metaprograms include all of those entities which are usually defined as ego, consciousness, self, and so forth. . . .

Storage Metaprograms

Storage Metaprograms have two aspects. In the active storage process inputs from external reality and from self are connected to storage. . . .

Autonomic Programs

The autonomic nervous system has built in properties that are programmatic rather than meta-programmatic. . . .

Body Maintenance Programs. . . .

Family-Love-Reproduction-Children Program. . . .

Survival Metaprograms. . . .

The Soul-Spirit Programs. . ..

Ego-Mind Entity Programs . . . .

Body Programs . . . .

Lover Programs . . .
