I have somehow drunk
of that heady drink of modern consumption
viscous with fear
and am now tipsy with anxiety ridden platitudes
directed at a dusty mirror

? Did the pathetic and cowardly nibble upon
my knuckle while I slept
siphoning from me in Zombified fashion
my passion - my ability to charge
headlong with abandon
into realms of beauty
where epiphanies shimmer on
crystaline waters undulating
through a cerebral labyrinth

?Am I mired in the mundane sludge of mortality
impaled upon the sharp rocks of dirty laundry
shamed by the father of stupidity
or kneeling before a Barbie doll effigy of womanhood

Perhaps. But no more.

My tainted goblet is hurled yet full
into the fiery fury made of petrified souls
burning in a hell of their own making

I choose to soar
with Eagles and Angels

I choose to dream
with Comets and Kali

I choose to dine
with Philosophers and Madmen

I choose to belly laugh
with Pirates and Bhuddas

I choose to dance
with Ravens and Raving Beauties

I choose to sing
"Rasputin" with bare-chested physicists
semi clad in fine furs

I choose to run
with tame Wolves and wild Children

I choose to ride
fearlessly upon Bucephalus and my Consort
galloping forth
into the fractally ripening cosmos
within me

I have somehow drunk
of my own Divinity

Please,
set down your plate of braised ego
and generously pour
from your vessel
so we may toast

To Us!

Thank you for this amazing, brilliant poem!
Thank you very much db. Truly.

It can be tough to lift out of the vortex of sludge that modern man has set spinning - it's tricky. If I may make a suggestion? I wouldn't focus on any specific cause as it tends to have a Hydra's reaction to having it's head cut off - quickly growing three fanged heads to replace it. I live on the coast in paradise and it's centrifugal pull is quite evident here, nonetheless.

I would suggest you drink of the Feminine Divine. Become a pilgrim to her body - the deserts, mountains, jungles and oceans of her - feel her power - creating life and destroying life with the tides of her blood - she is the grizzly bear mama and the wise, drunken, ancient hag - she is in the spinning of galaxies and the voluptuous sensual beauty on the stripper pole - the curves of a [sin] wave - the doe eyed simplicity of an cherubic child - she is the rich musky smell of earth fertilized by battlefields and placenta and the delicate fragrance of flowers pushing their buds up through the rotting corpses of inept diplomacy - she is the cool cloth on your forehead and fever - both - she is the raging river of love pouring forth from a mother's heart - she is the goddess seductress who can curl your soul upon her tongue...

See her.
Admire her.
Be bold, and ask her to dance...............preferably the tango.

Lol...sorry, I do have a tendency to "wax poetic".

I think humans are in great imbalance. Men and women, both. The Masculine Divine cannot rise without his divine consort. He is yet the angry boy setting fire to the tail of half-starved alleyway feline that came to his outstretched hand, purring. Cum here pussy, pussy, pussy...

dang. did it again...lol

Highly recommend reading Shantaram - by Gregory David Roberts - based on the life of the author, escaped from maximum security prison in Australia and became a fugitive in Mumbai - lived in the slums - opened a free medical clinic there - ran guns to Kandahar - quite the man. Met him in Mumbai. He's the real deal.

Highly recommend Ayahuasca shamanic medicine - not for the faint of heart but it puts you directly in touch with the Feminine Divine of the amazon jungle within a multidimensional platform. Be careful what you ask it. Not only will you learn the truth - but you will feel it, hear it and see it from the source. You will also gain the ability to understand it. Very, very, powerful.

Develop the right hemisphere of your brain. Balance the two hemispheres.
Develop your intuition.
Unbridle your creativity.
Explore Tantric sex - you'll thank me for this one! And your lover will thank you - over and over and over...lol

See beauty in everything.
Laugh with the cosmic jester.
Find love - and then tell the world all the secret places it graces...
Hand on heart - thank you.
Fantastic doodle! My best work has come from musings...
Drop some shadows and highlights into this baby and imagine the paper as a 3D cube to fill instead of a 2D paper - it will take it to a new level - or rather dimension.
A tantric book? I understand it as 10,000 year old teachings. To be sure there are huge cultural chasms to somehow hurl yourself over to "get it" - but just playing with the basics should yield very worthwhile results. :D

In a nutshell (sorry, had to) imagine yourself a deity - a God of your choosing. See, hear, speak, touch, taste from His perspective. Like your favorite actor, become the character. Imagine your lover as a Goddess of her choosing. She evokes the Goddess within and you evoke the God enjoy yourselves in an appropriate environment - fire, water, nature, succulent sustenance in a sacred space of some design or circumstance...and don't forget the chocolate!!!
Gorgeous work. I'm so tempted to get cre8ive with a computer but there is something really satisfying about just using graphite, ink and chalk to tackle something so intrinsically mathematical. Kinda like starting a blazing fire by rubbing two sticks together...lol

This work will be incorporated into an animation of a 4D hypercube. Both works connect on all 4 sides when rotated...

I'm working from my own mind - I didn't know I was seeing a 4D object in my mind's eye until I stumbled upon the tesseract animation. I work completely from my intuition and am self taught with no formal education. It's wonderful when a physicist or mathematician looks at my work and says, "ah yes, I see you're painting a strange attractor - or I love all the quantum theory references etc..." I'm getting my education backwards.

Love the grasshopper link! Is Rhino/grasshopper difficult to learn the basics??? I would love to sketch out more ambitious ideas in it - it's so labour intensive otherwise and I'm sure I could take my work to a higher level...
