I don't think science is any more of a mind trap than power money sex or brute strength .

Science is just another neutral tool that can be used or abused in accordance with the relative ignorance or enlightenment of the person using it.

At least that is how I think.

"Decoding" the bible. Those who have to "decode" the bible are just looking for ways to use  the bible to validate what they  already believe, another of my not so humble opinions.

Overcome the "biological" destination of death?

Exactly how can the "metaphysical" overcome the "biological"

Death of the soul as opposed to death of the physical perception of the container of the soul?

Do you not think it might be a good idea to define all the words up there like "metaphysics" and "death" for the sake of clarity for the less "enlightened" souls among us .... like me ....

Where does this "mind set" for example exist? Is the mind set a part of the biological or the metaphysical?

Wrongt again Jamie..the bible is jam packed with symbols, parables, allegories, numero0logy, deep unconscious "coded" references to "waking up" and exercises needed to awaken such as Jesus sayings one of which (of many), "if your eye is siingle your whole body will be filled with light".

(How do you understand that simple remark Oh "not so hiumble one").  

or

"My yoke is easy, my burden is light"

or

What is Jesus trying to communicate (to you only James), "My yoke is easy my burden is Light",  (one clue for you Jamie by, the word "yoke" and the word "Yoga" mean the samje thing)

Now humble yopurswelf and "try" to interpre3t these "cpoded" or mataphorical statements.

using your shallow form of reasonong or "Logik", shadows are3 "real"(?) and "true"

of is the shadow play a delusion and just mistaken by the "unaware" person as reality.

This kind of delusion happens all the time with political propaganda that mobilizes whole tribes, cities, nations and continents in "WAR" with a perceived enemy Roman..try rereading Orwell a bit more and you will not be so dismissal of "Truuth" versus errors...(in jiudgement)..and the "thought shaping" power of the media for example.and the state.

Machine mind versus the open and free mind..the inquiring and questioning mind  .. versus the closed and programmed mind.

First I do not know what yoga means. To me my yoke which is what they put on animals to harness their energy for use to do work . Means to me that the slavery to truth and righteousness is easy, just do what you know is the right thing. How hard is that really? My burden is light? He ain't heavy he's my brother? Doing something out of love, is not a burden, it is just the thing one does without question as previously mentioned , it is just the right thing to do, an act of love, not a burden.

If your eye is single your whole body will be filled with light. it is when one adds reasons or excuses to avoid doing the one thing that one should do that they cast shadows upon their purpose in life. It is like when you lie, and then you have to make another lie to cover up the first lie and on and on. Just doing the right thing when you see the light means you are just light anything added to that is just clouding the issue.

Also man cannot serve both god and mammon. When you put money or worldy issues in front of the light of God, then it clouds the light of god.

So these are what god tells me when I read those words. Am I so very far from wrong? Now we see dimly as through a glass, then we shall see face to face.

That very opaque glass is our fear for our own survival. When one chooses to be more concerned about his own physical welfare than the welfare of others he loses the light of God.

We must sacrifice our baser needs of food shelter and security if we are to realize our higher needs of love and self actualiztion.

There is no greater love than this that a man would give his life to save another.

The golden rule tells us that the right thing to do is to do unto others what we know is right by our own experience.

When one chooses to any less, he has lost sight of the truth and righteousness .... aka God.

But it seems like a game of Risk, We we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual wickedness in high places. What profit it a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?

This is a battle of the spirit of truth and righteousness, our needs of love and self actualiztion against the material world , against mammon, against physical survival FEAR OF DEATH , there are some who have committed suicide because they discovered security and physical life is not enough. a life of self loathing and shame of ones self is a torment they wish to escape from. When they have lots of money and power and fame and glory, what is left? Why are they still left unfulfilled and unhappy? Why are those distractions of sex drugs and rock and roll no longer able to block out the tradgedy of their unfulfilled existence.

And people like Alex Jones rag on this on a daily basis. How the government puppets use threats of terrorism to justify their raping and pillaging of people in pursuit of global control and get the minds of gullible  fearful, greedy followers to join and support their army of patriotic mercenaries and murder innocent men women and children for cheaper gas prices? For global control? And the sheeple are fooled into thinking its okay because we were just defending ourselves from those little kids with shrapnel in their lifeless bodies, those gruesome misfigured bodies of children born dead because of the tonne and tonnes of depleted uranium their mothers breathe in on a daily basis. And the people will deny. Even to the point of the death of first responders and veterans now dieing as collateral damage along with those innocent women and children in the middle east.

But of course we have God on our side. GOD BLESS the good? old U.S.

would we rather have Russia or China... Remember they are all in the UNITED NATIONS now. They are all under one rule. A New World Order , run by one body, with the blood of all those innocent dead bodies on their hands.

Who suppllies the weapons? To the victor goes the spoils. Follow the money.
