I've always held that it's quite obvious that humans can see the future (you couldn't very well even plan your day tomorrow if you couldn't) but here is a look at some recent experiments that go even deeper into the matter with surprising results.

Those who take this seriously do need some comic relief. but inane is relative to the understanding of the individual, those who have little understanding may think of that which they do not understand as being 'inane"

actually it was a play on words and that was pretty much it. I thought it was a pretty good mashable of your and doug's comments. I guess it was inane :-)

If delved into seriously, even a 'play on words' can take on a deeper meaning.

Inane One that lacks sense or substance

Thus I wonder if the inane should be applied to the hearer or reader of the comment and not to the comment or the presenter of the comment.

If I say something it makes sense to me and therefor has sense and is not inane. If the person reading it does nto understand it then it is a comment on their ability to understand  making them the object of the adjective inane.

inaneness is pretty much just subjective...so, in that, it is rather difficult to quantify...the possibilities are more in the realm of imagination (and much along the lines of Jeff's remark)
While inaneness may be subjective, if one were to act out on such an inane idea, the truth of whether or not the idea is inane might in some sense be measurable depending on the application of the idea and the criteria being used to quantify it. Can this topic get any more inane?

James, you seem to be taking it to the limit, but then anything is possible, I should imagine, and perhaps there is no limit...unless we keep it clean, which is preferable!

I definately prefer to keep it clean.  Do you think we have come to the end of this train of thought. I can't even remember when the train got derailed or even where it originated or where it was going . lol.
