Hey all, I assume you've seen the announcement I put up regarding Ning's new pricing plan.

Check them out: http://about.ning.com/plans/

The thing that really worries me is I'm almost certain I can only get the 2.95 one and that will delete all but 150 members apparently. Super lame and a huge setback.

Any thoughts?

Sid, I just made a $50 donation.
That'll cover 2+ years on the Mini Plan or 2+ months on the Plus Plan (with advanced features) or one month on the Pro - Build to Scale Plan.

Now, what's the plan? Has it been approved by the board yet?
Kernel, I'm unable to reply directly to your message below because it is telling me I must select a plan.

However I am not finding the $50 you speak of in our Paypal account. Are you mistaken perhaps? Thank you so much for your charity regardless as I have just realized after trying to select the Mini plan, that Ning will NOT allow me to select the Mini plan. This changes everything. It's basically I pony up $19.99 a month or OSR goes down. Very unfortunate.

I don't know what to do. My bank account is far from being able to shoulder this. I literally don't even have 19.99 in my account right now.

The slight amount of good news is that my new job should start paying up very well within the next two months. We're taking on huge clients and I should be seeing the benefit of this soon. If that happens all will be fine as I'd happily pay for this site myself.

In the meantime we just may lose OSR for a while. :(
To make the donation I used the OSR Main Menu - Make a Donation option. Via OSR Mail, I have forwarded a copy of the receipt I received. The contribution registered as shown below.

That's wonderful Kernel! This will give us at least another two months for me to get my work situation stable enough to hopefully take care of the price myself.

In the meantime I need everyone to strongly consider something like a dollar a month plan. Perhaps to have access to a funders only forum where we discuss the future of the network? Ideas welcome.
Ok I've checked out the app again and figured it out.
Reading deep into their rules and regulations I found out they wont dole out the donations for me until we reach $100, so I've lowered the target donation amount to match this. With your donation that means we are half way there already! That's good news at least.
OK, Is the another out there prepared to walk on the water?
You $50 will be multiplied 2x fold.
Do you want this place to survive?
Do you want a place where open dialogue and exchange can influence direction?
I'll send out a network wide message.
Sidian,

The other $50 is in there...you are good to go for 5 months.

Best of luck!
Dori that was you? You really sealed the deal in no time, thank you so much!
