The Satan Belief is popular among several denominations and an alternative to the understanding that sin has consequences according to the Law of Sowing and Reaping.

The Satan Belief maintains that suffering is not punishment for sin but rather that suffering is Satanic punishment for being righteousness servants of God Father.

The Satan Belief tells the story of a great angel (of matter), the one who yearned for souls to worship him - not Supreme FatherGod. The story goes that if one worships God and not Satan, this powerful entity would tempt, deceive, and trick people into aligning with him by turning away from our Heavenly Father. And, if one does not align with Angel Satan, suffering will be inflicted until they take of material pleasures and so align with him.

In other words, the Satan Belief explained that the righteous suffered because of a demigod named Satan.

The alternative view is that we suffer because of our sins - not because of an angel.

Your apology is accepted James but what did you learn - that you don't have a photographic mind or that you were careless in you thinking.  How did you ever develop the impression that I believed God incarnates as a human being.  I suspect it was a thought that was convenient to you and rather than critically examine it it was accurate you could not resist the impulse to use it.  You seem to me to be a very impulsive thinker - one who often lacks critical faculties and internal regulations.  Sorry James.  You didn't take the time to verify accuracy.  You were wrong but thank you for your excuses above.

Actually it was merely a slight misunderstanding in the term god incarnate which should simply have been referred to as the spirit of god manifested in a human being and but of course according to you I lack critical faculties and internal regulations. I am sure you could write an entire book of psycho babble insults to attack those who dare point out the many  inconsistencies between what you preach and what you practice. And thanks for just another example of how you express your love for me man. I can hardly wait for your next expression of love for me.

I think it is interesting to point out that most Christians believe the John Milton rendition of Satan wherein satan falls from heaven like lightening BEFORE Earth is created. Of course the Bible does not really say too much about Satan and you cannot get sucked into thinking Milton is correct. when did Satan fall, and similar characteristics, no one really knows. But stories like Milton's are people's attempts to provide vaguer Scriptures than these with a definite framework.

I will say that the Screwtape Letters, whether you are Christian or not, is a very good depiction of how a demon would operate

Thanks for that reference giordio.
