Permalink Reply by Kernel John on October 31, 2011 at 8:29am Do you mean in which we cannot understand everything or do you mean find answers to questions we might have about it.
One point of view that was represented here not long ago by dattaswami is that God, the source of the Universe, is unimaginable. Is the Universe any less unimaginable than God?

Permalink Reply by Kernel John on October 31, 2011 at 1:07pm I'm sorry. I should mention that I do not assume that the universe was created. I believe that it is eternal (in a constant state of creation, sustenance and destruction). I believe that the physical universe (which essentially exists at a vibration that is at or lower than the speed of light is connected to a dimension of super luminescent light that influences the sustenance of this universe).
I further assume that God is of this metaphysical realm - however, He did not create the physical realm. The physical realm is eternal.
Cheers.

Permalink Reply by James Germiquet on November 1, 2011 at 9:47pm That is the whole point of the universe. It would not be such a wonderful universe if we actually understood it.
That is for every answer we come up with a dozen more questions are discovered. Some people say when they experienced near death experiences , they understand everything, so why come back to a level of ignorance, if not to enjoy the process of discovery. Ignorance may not in itself be bliss, but there is bliss when one has an 'aha moment' an Alexander Graham Bell "Watson come here " moment.
Of course God has created a Universe that we can not understand, at least not in the costume and part we play in this story called 'the physical perception of life and reality'.
After this scene is over you can leave the stage and role back the tape and see how you played your part. maybe redo the scene or maybe move on to your next role.
Permalink Reply by James Germiquet on November 1, 2011 at 9:53pm There is one source of the universe call it what you will, but it is merely an awareness and out of that awareness a dream much like we physical humans dream, but as sapient , sentient characters in this dream of our perception of reality we do not know that we are simply of the same matter of our own dreams. The firing of synapses. Energy, photons leptons quarks, call them again what you will. But the energy of awareness perceiving itself as a physical reality.
To sleep perchance to dream. Aye there's the rub, for what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil must give us pause.

Their is no physical realm, unless you call this make believe world , this 'perception' of reality a physical realm.
This perception of reality where science has taken us down as far as they can to a place where these smallest of 'particles' pop in and out of existence.
Once you get to the speed of light you can go no further because you have reached the point where reality as we know it (memories of a past that no longer exists) becomes now and instantly you are brought to a halt because the future has not yet been created and you must wait for the next photon to come into existence.
Permalink Reply by James Germiquet on November 1, 2011 at 10:02pm So now tell me who creates the next photon of our continued existence? Who creates the new reality that occurs with every passing micro milli nano second? Who is doing the creating? Is it us or is it something that is creating us as a dream character?
Is the creator , God the dreamer, or the Us, the character within the dream?
Permalink Reply by Kernel John on November 2, 2011 at 7:50am I am no scientist. I churn more than discern.
The more I churn the more I see one universe which for the sake of distinction we divide into the known and the not known. We exist in the known side of the ledger - that which exists at a rater of vibration less than the speed of light.
The vacuum, as you refer to it, somehow restricts it's flow of energy to a rate greater than the SOL. When scientist suggest that a huge amount of matter exists in our universe of sub-SOL matter, could that not actually be determining that the there are a myriad of particles that exist approaching and exceeding the SOL? Could our known universe not receive its sustenance from the flow of metaphysical particles, whose speed of vibration - for some reason or another, is falling below the speed of light.
Of course it is easy to speculate. Being able to do this in conjunction with someone who has a scientific orientation is, of course, appreciated.
When science creates particles, in the laboratory - using vast amounts of energy, are we really creating new particles of pulling particles from the vacuum?
What differentiates one sub-atomic particles from the next - mass? spin? ? ? ?
Does energy in the vacuum of the universe express itself according to mass & spin? What other attributes are there?
These are the questions that arise.
