left by some deities or a deity

Your aphorism is quite interesting.

For them (test & traps) to exist, you propose they were left by a deity or deities.

Perhaps we create our own tests, traps and dilemmas ourselves.  Should this eventuality not also be considered?

As for your reference to deity or deities, I am confused.  The school I went to taught that if one considers only one deity, this deity should be referenced with a Capital Letter - Deity (The One God).  If the term is referred to in the plural (deities), lower case is fine but with the understanding that the deities are not supernatural gods and goddesses but rather these are the great souls - the great human souls references in such legends such as the Bible.

You might be a Christian of some kind?  I think there are some Buddhist varieties that suggest that 'souls' become like a Deity with Deity powers after perfection. the Huayan Sutra suggests pantheistic power for a Boddhisatva, and the Lotus Sutra suggests that Boddhisatvas never disappear and can manifest here on earth. i think Huayan + Lotus = Tiantai variety of Budddhism, and Huayan contributes to 'Tathagatagarbha' varieties.

I'll go ahead and capitalize Deity from now on, seems respectful and help the forum.  capitalize Human too, tho

I notice Satan is also capitalized, perhaps out of respect?

with that it would be like Jehovah, a proper name. anyways, why does JeHoVaH get 4 capitalizations?

I think it has to do with making the name pronouncable as JHVH might be a bit difficult to say without the little vowels as a hint in the pronunciation.

There are ways to avoid moral tests and traps.

Religion attempts to prescribe these ways in many many different ways, to many people and cultures over time..

I am pretty sure they work to! you can stay out of trouble that way.
