d'Espagnat is a quantum physicist who recently won $1 million + award from Templeton Foundation (integration of science and religion at ...) The tenants of OS and TSC and RG and A-Z are all related to quantum theory, what it knows and what it knows that it doesn't know. I recommend d'Espagnat's book, Veiled Reality, for a good intro/analysis. You can read excerpts of the book at
. Especially look at chapter 15, Veiled, Independent Reality and Empirical Reality, starting on p. 360. When you plan to use science as the gate that lets info in, or keeps it out, of TSC, you then get into a fuzzy realm of philosphical arguments related to what science is, what reality is, what science can measure... which is always limited by the primitive measurement tools we presently have, the limitations of quantitative research and objectivity, and more. All these issues will eventually surface in developing TSC - there will remain arenas that are foggy and indefinite - which is good. Otherwise, TSC would be in danger of becoming dogma.
