Once your "True" self is awakened..the notion of physical "scale"..or "size" of things becomes less relevant..because your "consciousness" (true self) is pure light and since God is light your being and your true self is absorbed in His pool..His ocean of infinite limitless space and the so called physical relationships..scale..weight and measure,,, gradually diminish as your self (soul) awakens and unites with its creator.
Charles Hoy Fort: No astronomer has ever come close to disproving Mr. Shaw's estimate that the moon is about 37 miles away from the earth.
according to my calculations..the moon is inside me. Proof..when it is full I howl..
I dont think soo that the size relative to the Universe
Wonderful! Great work.

When we learn about the size of the universe, we realize our place on earth and the whole universe. Then it becomes easier to realize that there is no "self" in this what we call "me". Each individual is just a small part of the whole system, and the loss of an individual is negligible to the whole system.

I was thinking if a planet is a million llight years away, doesnt it mean that planet as you see it has not even existed for a million years?

In fact what gives anything existence? If there is no awareness of it does it exist at all. So many science worshippers seem to want to believe that unless science has verified its existence then it doesnt exist.

I esecially like this song when it comes to the relative size of man and the universe.

"He's big enough to rule the mighty universe, yet small enough to live within my heart"

ttt

Considering how much of the universe I can encompass just by looking up in the sky. I don't feel so small.

And what about the size of God, so much power in such a being that can live within my heart.

In a god that is big enough to rule the mighty universe, is small enough to live within my heart.

How strange.  Perhaps I am the only one that doesn't tie some sort of power struggle onto this.  I watch this and simply enjoy it for what it is.  A testament to reality.  A beautiful orchestra that trumpets wonders untold.  God this, god that.  One, and so on.  In essence, I enjoy these sorts of things.  Not because it reminds me of how small I am in the universe.  I could care so little about that. I shows the wonders I've yet to experience.  It shows the absolute amazing discoveries I could potentially have.  Thank you for sharing this, Sid.

What blows my mind is that the whole universe fits within my mind and that the universe would be meaningless without a mind like mine to appreciate it.

Invocation To The Universe

I AM the Universe.

I AM the spin and swirl of galaxies.

I AM the movement of planets in their orbits.

I AM a comet in the night sky.

I AM a human being

Moving with the flow of Spirit.

I AM an atom

Containing All That Is.

I AM the Universe,

Laughing as I dance.

I AM Life.

You are what you eat?

You are what you absorb?

You are what goes into your mind from all of your senses.

As you gaze into your sky, your telescope your televison your books the entire universe floods in and is assimilated.
