to bad it was centuries after Jesus took it to the next level.

Thanks for the info, more research is certainly in order. @MUwaM: That makes total sense about the Judeo mythos and Mohammedan mythos to require violence in order to survive in a harsh and competitive region.

I knew that last piece was unnecessary and would probably detract from the point I'm trying to make about the relevance of the above artwork in relation to those who were born and raised in Christianity, and taught Christianity as Truth, rather than belief. That is the reason you see such pieces as pictured above. If, as a child, the teachings of the Bible were presented to me as a set of beliefs, which my parents and others in the church had chosen to follow, there would have been no resentment when I discovered that it wasn't the Truth. Incidentally, my faith in parents and adults would also have been reinforced, rather than undermined.

My father is a conservative Christian of the Seventh-Day Adventist sect of Protestant Christianity. I have matured enough today to hear him speak of God's love, the foundation of God's government, and the nature of Christ and how we are to be like Christ, without feeling my own beliefs threatened or disregarded. But when my father tells me it is the only way, that I must believe that Jesus died for my "sins" in order to get a seat at the table of Eternity, I am sad and grow silent. He will then continue to say that no amount of self-help, yoga, or internal martial arts will ever help to fill the hole and make me whole. Yet this contradicts my own experiences. This is an unnecessary wall between father and son, which need not exist.

This is the incredible, negative, and repugnant nature that I too have experienced with Christians. To even imagine the audacity of someone willing to portray that life is an empty waste without Christianity makes my blood boil. Worse still is to inflict this perspective on children.

If evil existed, this would be one of its forms; a cloud of spiritual pestilence.

Zijan, Unfortunately, from what you posted a couple days ago, you sound quite uninformed both about the Bible (your point #2 is a sweeping generalization) and the Quran...if you expect to be told the truth by the media, you'll know very little. The media will not spoonfeed you about the Quran, in fact they will withold the truth and what the Quran really teaches...that has been systematically occurring for some time.

Arabs, themselves, will testify to the pestilent writings of Mohammed...there are many available. To say otherwise, is to miss the gist of the Quran. Even Arab terrorists have repeatedly told the world what their intent is, which intent does not belie the Quran, but confirms it, sadly enough. All that they lack is the means.

"Arabs are as misguided in what the Qoran actually says, as many Christians are as to what the Bible actually says...

The Qoran, like the Bible has been and is being used as a tool for terrorists, as you will know Doug, there are many passages in the Bible that if read out of context can incite racial and religious hatred...

Lets turn the other cheek... "

Got my vote. :)

I seen a college play about banning a book about this very subject and yes it turn out to be the bible. Ho by the way the sabbath is the seventh day, so if I start from the day I was born then it would not be the same day for everyone, or is it I start my workday on Monday then it is Sunday. when did we lable the days of the week anyway? Or is it just the way we look at the calendar and when did we start using this calandar?

Yes, we can turn the other cheek (turn the other cheek and forgive), but we must be aware of what the "others" intend or we shall risk our lives in the end...though I don't believe it will ever come to that, because of Bible prophesies.
