Talking about abortion, especially in terms of religion, always gets heated. For many, it is hard to see past religious tendencies or bias's, to see the real truth of the issue. This doesn't just happen with abortion, but with any topic in which people have strong opinions. For me, coming from a religious background and having retuned that for myself, I have always had some problem with finding holes in other peoples arguments, especially the religious ones. Rather than prove myself right, I…See More

Hopefully, it will work this time, and I will not be compelled to throw my computer across the room.......grrrrAbortion. Perhaps, as odd as it sounds, one of my favorite topics to discuss. It is topics like these that bring out people's true colors, and perhaps show the true nature of the human spirit.I grew up with an incredibly pro-life mother. From the time…See More

Human Origins, Final Thoughts PHI 214

The world has come quite far since 1973 when Roe v. Wade went to the Supreme Court. Now, being pro-life means something very different, even if the idea behind it is the same. With any luck, in the next 40 years, we can go just as far, and perhaps not have labels like "pro-life" or "pro-choice". Wouldn't it be nice if the sanctity of life was respected by all, every life mattered and was considered before rash decisions were made. Perhaps people need to stop focusing so much on what their right… Read More
