"I tend to think of God as falling within the third category, as an idea.  I often refer to God as a definition.  We can choose to label something that exists as God.  My favorite definition is St. Anselm's with a slight…"

"4. One cannot know God without knowing the self/soul.  One can only know God by connecting the soul (mind) with the Mind of God.  You are not a physical being, you are metaphysical point of conscient energy.  If you turn God into a…"

Blade Swift replied to Blade Swift's discussion How can you be a gnostic atheist?
"Well first I'm talking about knowing whether or not something exist, not knowing how a particular feeling feels. I'm more interested in the search for a living God, a sentient entity which created the universe and possibly interacts with…"

My question for the OSR community:
Presuming the Christian God exists, and the Garden of Eden is a literal event, then how can mankind be punished for an sin he committed (eating the apple) before he was knowledgeable of good and evil (which he was granted after eating the apple.)

Hey thanks for the mention on reddit. I love the community there but unfortunately they don't seem to feel the same. Oh well though, it's worth mentioning OSR time to time when appropriate. Someday maybe a group of them will see in this project what we see.

@davidbgoode People don't rely on definition to believe in a God, they rely on belief. OSR promotes exploration and clarity of beliefs.

As interesting as the idea of Open Source Religion is, why? If God can be defined by us, why have one at all? http://t.co/AE0FCIwJAa
