The creation story in The Silmarillion is just as realistic, but way more fun to read!

There are no rules

The older I get, the more this sinks in. There are no rules. There are only self-imposed limits. There are only social mores. There are only those things that we judge ourselves by that we think others will judges us by a the same time..

Am I missing something? In all my activities honorable and unhonorable, I've yet to hit a hard and fast wall of behavior. I've yet to come to a point at which anybody reaches their 'limit'. I've yet to see anyone, and I mean anyone, come to a point… Read More

Wikipedia hoax points to limits of journalists' research

A sociology student placed a fake quote on Wikipedia, only to see it show up in prominent newspapers, revealing that a lot of the press doesn't go much further than most 'Net users when it comes to researching a story.

The Muslims can do it too

For purposes of some fairness of representation, since we appear to have no active Muslims here on RG I'm going to post a video series in support of the Qu'ran. The videos are pretty self-explanatory, and make claims to the scientific validity of passages in the Qu'ran.…

MINOT, ND—Unemployed factory worker James Harold Gurshner told reporters Monday that God's plan for him, revealed during a moment of divine inspiration, requires kidnapping Ford Motor Company CEO William Ford Jr.

"The Lord works in mysterious ways," said Gurshner, talking to reporters through a metal grate screwed over the window of his dilapidated, hubcap-covered house. "And right now,… Read More

Dane,

I'm not very adept at these things. I can't remember (or figure out) how to invite you as a friend, so that we can correspond privately. If you can do it...or if I have actually done it...then you can send me your mailing address or suggest how you would like me to send you the DVD (to keep, if you so choose). Thank you.

Funny thing about your avatar. Until just now I always saw an angel but also I saw this Death like figure as the wing on the right. It appeared to be consuming the angel.
Apparently it's just a wing. o_O
