Great Question you posed above.
If religion is that which we worship, there are many people these days who look to science as if it is the next great religion. On the other hand, if religion could begin to take the form of a personal pursuit, rather than community endeavour based on blind ritual and tradition, it might not be bad to live in a world that benefited from the systematic approach inherent in science and the values-based intuitive approach inherent in Open Source Religion.
