Dry rain
Rain washes away the day
And day’s unhappy day
I would each tuck away—within
Not to win, but to wound
Wind—tightly—around my heart
That slightly—with each breath

I start
To stop
Breathing

Breath in!
And out, and in again
And again, gaining strength
Growing stronger, that I might
Be strong enough to lose
All my self-importance, which I use
To suffocate myself

No longer
No longer myself but a living, breathing
Being of light—laughing and crying
Dancing
Watching in wonder as
The world dances
Not before,
But through my eyes, my soul
Now clear, clearly allows the
Light of the world to shine through my eyes
—my mind—
Shines like a diamond, which
No dust of the world can cling to
Just as I will not cling to the world
The world is all dust
Dusty—
The dust in my eye
The reason I cry
