Alan Watts' letter of resignation to the Episcipal Church

He makes a lot of good points on why people choose to follow the church, and why it just didn't work out for him. Good enough, at least, that I thought somebody could learn something from it. Happy reading!

From Alan W. Watts, Thronecrest Farmhouse, Millbrook, N.Y.

My dear friends,

After long and careful thought I have had to take a step which will perhaps be most disturbing to many of you, though to others it may come as no surprise. I have come to the… Read More

Donkey Will be Donkey

Today I did an unpardonable wrong. I referred to mormons as Christocentric. I was trying to be nice. I shows to go ya that with some people no good deed goes unpunished.

I think greg really believes he is serving God. "A" for effort. I also believe he is completely in error, deceived or otherwise. That's my opinion, and doesn't make me anti-mormon.

I'm tired of this BS. I started to line by line post a rebuttal to his latest blog smear on Christians, and then realized the… Read More

A Minor Miracle for Me.. A Long TIme Ago in A Galaxy 20 Miles away.....

A young man wants to buy a Bible for his grandmother.

She's getting on in years, and kind of particular. The requirements are simple;

King James Version (the only one she would read)

White (She didn't like black Bibles)

Large Print (her sight was going)

Cheap (the young man was flat broke)

To complicate matters, its Sunday, so all the Christian Bookstores are closed, and the young man is going to see her later that day for her birthday. (The… Read More

I know I'd read that passage a hundred times. But I'd never seen it. Maybe I'd passed over it in the excitement of the resurrection.

RG Rant

Please note: The following are my OPINIONS, my ideas. You can choose to be persuaded by them or not. You must make up your own mind.

QUIT EVANGELIZING!!!! The only reason christians are tolerated here is that the nature of RG is all-encompassing. But for all of you who have been "saved," your ideas are much more narrow than what is trying to be accomplished here. Christianity is only a tiny, tiny slice of ATWI, and it won't be rejected by RG. I have certainly rejected… Read More
