One of my esteemed colleagues here recently called Professor Bart D. Ehrman a putz. 

Until recently, I had never heard of Ehrman, however, because my colleague had been raving so much about the authenticity, historical accuracy and inerrancy of the bible, I thought I'd investigate it a little further own my own.
