Hi Robert. During the development of the early church the Nag Hammadi Library reveals that there were a variety of teachings and interpretations that were being "revealed". Is this not what are personally are involved in - CONTINUING REVELATION of God on earth. Right? Have you not revealed that you have had knowledge revealed to you personally.
In the early church, continuing revelation produced a plethora of "inspired" literature. The challenge of these new teachers and teachings and new scriptures was both frontal and massive to the orthodox/dominant POV. Continuing revelation provided an alternative version of Christianity that was individualistic. The orthodox party took its stand on a canon of scriptuire that was fixed at the Old Testament and 27 new writings. . . . Quite a reduction from the (largely unknown) plethora of continuing revelation produced by those such as Sethian and Velentinian. Such forms of Gnostic writing/teaching challenged the dominant view.
Anyway, Christianity does not accommodate the notion of continuing revelation. I accept the position that God's revelation at this time continues. People like Swedenborg, in his day, engaged in continuing revelation.
Robert, are you saying that God's revelation stopped with the resurrection and that God no longer inspired individuals and reveals new truth to them? What I don't understand is why you, like the early church, seem so opposed to the continuing revelations of others - yet, claim to have your own revelations that you would like to teach.
Yes, the thousands of BK centres in 110 countries around the world are involved in the continuing revelation of God on earth. You seem opposed to this yet involved in your own brand of continuing revelation. It was Christianity that snuffed the idea of continuing revelation, amongst its own, centuries ago. The BKs are simply revealing that God has come to teach people how to link their minds to His mind and thus to each other. I would suggest that rather than criticize this work that you focus on uniting the 1000+ Christian denominations operating in the USA to speak with one unified voice to sharpen and unify their messages. Interestingly Christian Orthodoxy is growing only in the developing world whereas BK cosmology is advancing world wide. Here's your problem - MORE. Continuing revelation is alive and well in America - both North and South . . . including the USA. It's simply not emerging out of Christianity.
Imagine - One God, One World Family. Link your mind to the Mind of God through the science of Easy Raja Yoga and become part of this One World Family. Once linked the vision becomes easier to see.

Those individuals who recognized the continuing (AD) revelation of God where broadly recognized as Gnostics/Mystics. The Roman Church and it's offspring do not accept that Gods revelation has be augmented in any wat since the crucifixion.
Robert, are you saying that God continuously reveals new truth to humankind - because that is what is being maintained here in this discussion forum. It appears you agree that God has continued to provide revelation to mankind since the crucifixion. If so, what new "continuing revelation" has been given to the world?

I think it is the opposite, people fear because they have been bitten, in the future they are suspicious when faced with similar circumstances. Who knows if the fear or suspicion is "warranted".
You tell me if the methods of many religions use fear of eternal punishment if one goes against their doctrine? worse yet having to come back and repeat this life again, a fate worse than death itself.
Personally I have no desire whatsoever to be shown what to think especially by religion. This is a major tennet in my rant against religion. And I think "social developement" can be greatly over rated, well at least in terms of the vast majority who need to be told what to think. Jesus said anyone who loves family or friends or "social developement" more than they love me, is unworthy of me.Not to say Jesus did not teach us how we should relate to and treat others, but it is tied into our personal understanding of what is right and not into some set of social etiquette which may or may not have anything to do with right behavoir toward others.
I am not into testing hypothesis , I am into doing my bests to UNDO "the social developement" that hinders me from doing unto others that which I would want other to do to me, that causes me to stop short of facing the fears that cause me to shrink from doing all I should be doing in my relationship with others.

Revelation STARTS with the ressurection!!! Before men had to take direction from other men who spent their lives trying to reach God by their own machinations.
WITH the resurrection came the spirit of God which enabled men to have direct spiritual revelation from God without the middle man (religion) garbling the message.
