Open source relates to religion and government because is all about toleration, you meet a lot of new people that have different views and ideas as yours. Toleration is something that’s valued, because people expect you to respect them and not call them out in a harsh way on something they said. There is also a role of government in a way that if you don’t follow the rules or discriminate/attack someone because of there beliefs or views you are to leave the site. Toleration and government go together because tolerance is pretty much a rule on this site.

"Open source" is the practice of revealing WHY you are believing in something or doing something. It is basically an "anti-deception" tactic.

Locke's ideals have been pretty much abandoned due to the government having to get into the issues of beliefs for 2 reasons;

1) By any voting scheme, if any belief system becomes more popular, the voting, and thus the laws, becomes the product of that one belief system. Any belief system is inherently intolerant of any other belief system especially when laws come into effect revolving around beliefs.

2) In order to prevent any one belief system from becoming too strong, the government itself must use "psychological techniques to alter beliefs (whether they are true or not) into something more dispersed.

A secular governance, in the name of psychology and "equal rights" becomes the system of beliefs required to prevent any OTHER system of beliefs from becoming too prevalent. This is an act of intolerance of too many people believing in any truth. It requires that deception be the majority because there is only one truth and very many deceptions. Everyone cannot be allowed to believe in a religion even if that religion happens to be accurate.

Secularism must maintain disbelief in Truth else one religion controls all votes.

Secularism is the maintenance of deception and it cannot survive as a system of governance unless it does so. Secularism is thus INTOLERANT of Truth and must remain so.

You cannot have a government that supports both real truth and also no predominant religion. Real truth is intolerant of false belief.

So, do you think tolerance is something that needs to be mediated/enforced by the government? Should this be someone's right?
How do you think tolerance relates to Open Source Religion or just religion in general? Just something I was thinking about as I read your post! Thanks!

The inherent problem is the right to effect other people's belief - "freedom of speech".

If you have the freedom to speak so as to promote your own belief (of perhaps tolerance), then you have the right to persuade votes that become laws that eventually force your belief. But if a person believes that they are correct, they are merely trying to ensure that Truth dictates law rather than deception.

There is a way around all of this, btw, it is just unknown to Man.
