Darn tootin. that was a well-designed one. I think I'll let some more people in on it. I myself decided to sign myself up.

Sup Rev. i'd be here more if I also understood the social aspects of this place a little better. It helped that you commented me. As long as I'm talking I guess that's the current social aspect.

Those comments had weird dates because I haven't signed in for a long long time, and naturally, people lost interest in talking to the corpse of my page... But I've resuscitated it now.

The "gift" thing is just some dumb thing people do. If you go on Jeff H's page he's got a gift. They're just pictures as far as I can tell. ???

Also, not that it matters, but I'm not a man of dates and it's special to me that I can correct someone on this. It was November Tuesday the 3rd, 2009, just so you know.

(regarding the comment you left me back in August)
Deeds more than creeds. I think that is very important. What good is a thought system (like religion) if it doesn't actually affect anything? It's like walking the talk. That's good.

If so, is it OK if I send it another way, perhaps in a blog or discussion here.

Is this for me? I will be 79, tomorrow. Or the late, great Martin Luther King? Tomorrow is his 80th. We both attended Boston University the same year, but we did not meet. He graduated the spring of 1954. I entered that fall to do two years of post graduate studies in the HISTORY OF IDEAS.

Thanks for the thoughts. RG is difficult to navigate for sure. I've had a couple of questions about the Mythos part recently.

Thanks for your comment Rev. Please excuse my flippant mood when i wrote my mythos. I didn't really mean, "Screwed by Christianity", well i did, but it doesn't really reflect what i was trying to go on to say. I just think faith at an early age restricts your potential of looking at things without preconception. Like now, in a recent post about creation... i don't have reason to believe there is a creator... or sufficient evidence to deny there is a creator. Yet, if my money had to be bet, i would go for the creator option. It is completely beside me why... i think this could be due to my conditioning and church upbringing as a youth... And it leads me to wonder how different i would be now if it wasn't for "churchianity/christianity". I dont think i would be a better person, i just think i would be better able to account for my opinions.

A Mythos is the sum result of a persons Personal Mythology. Add up someone's beliefs, rules, emotional responses, etc, you would have a Mythos.

Are you finding any interest in the current Mythos Project on the front page?

Excellent reference. Thank you for that.
Did this person delve much into personal mythology? As opposed to organized, mass mythology?

Hey Dude!!,
I will look up pneumatology later. Are you a, or associated with, professors? Because most college professors, and even school teachers don't like Wikipedia. I think that's wierd because it's constantly updated and is also expansive... who knows?...
I liked your comment on my survey thing.

Hiyah, Rev. Glad to see another literate, educated, loving, and open-hearted(minded) individual aboard the ship RG.

Found your post to Stanley Krippner. Here is my advice: there are books on the various methodologies of psychological research that include case study.

The best "cook book" I know of is:

Yin, Robert K. (2003). ""Case Study Research: Design and Materials," 3rd Ed., Applied Social Research Methods Series, Vol. 5, Thousand Oaks, CA: Sage Publications.

The 3rd addition has some analytic techniques not included earlier.

Don't recall what I paid for it. www.abebooks.com has used copies.

Good luck w/ your project!

You asked how to write up the case study. For what purpose are you writing it up? You say you have already written a five page account for a book. Right? So you must want to expand it for some other purpose. A magazine article? A chapter for another book? A segment in a book you are writing about exceptional healing? I would suggest you get the young woman's permission if you have not already done so, and then you can go on from there.

This is an incredible story. Thanks for sharing it. And I will use the link to track down your book.

You are correct. The book PASSAGES went through several printings and was a pioneering piece of work. I am so pleased to hear about your innovatie work with hypnosis. Your work with your daughter deserves to be written up as a case study. There is a growing interest in spiritual uses of psychological hypnosis.

@davidbgoode People don't rely on definition to believe in a God, they rely on belief. OSR promotes exploration and clarity of beliefs.

As interesting as the idea of Open Source Religion is, why? If God can be defined by us, why have one at all? http://t.co/AE0FCIwJAa
