What other holy men from what other religions would use humor as you suggest.

You are incorrect in your assessment.  Else tell use where you find the humor.  In the South?  Lot's of humor there?  . . . and it's OK.  Spirituality and prayer become entertainment... that's what I think.  This is entertainment.  That's what it's become.
