Except these aren't Christians, they are people making fun of them. Good job on the tolerance front there Sid. OPEN source remember? I'm part of your ATWI too, right? See if you can pick on somebody other then Christians for once and again, or is it just that you can snatch up some of the readily available canned anti-Christian crap, and pose as cool without having to think.

These are Christian Rappers, and they rock!

Jeff are you sure the video isn't actually by a Christian group?

And to answer your second proposal, when I post anti-religious media it is almost always Christian specific because the world and the internet is absolutely prolific with it. You pretty much have to go out of your way to find something as funny about Buddhists, Hindu, or even Jews or Atheists. The easiest targets have almost always been Christianity, Mormonism (probably even more so), and Scientology.

The OPEN aspect of Open Source Religion presents us a model in which every religion, behavior, person and so forth are part of the whole. There is nothing in Open Source Religion that dictates how you should act toward others. This has been explained to you many times, so please chalk this one up with the others.

1st, Yes

2nd. That's true, I have continually had it explained to me that bias against Christians is OK, and insulting them is ok, but I a Christian is critical of others its intolerance. You're right, I've heard it countless times. There are plenty of sources to rag on just about anybody. I just figured this was a site where we were working towards spiritual ends, and that kind of stuff doesn't move in that direction. I keep hoping for better, but your right, I've heard it before. I guess we will only progress as fast as our leader.

Well I just looked into this a little more and the people hosting this video is TFHVideos who performed at the EG Conference in '09 which you can visit here: http://www.egconference.org/media/

I know it's hard to believe such drivel comes from your own religion, but hey, Open Source Religion encompasses Christianity too, so I want these guys producing this nonsense as much as you do - not at all! :)

Still haven't been able to verify your link.

Like I said before, You pick on Christians because you don't like them for personal reasons. It's petty. I'm just saying.

The leader sets the tone.

If "the leader sets the tone" is your argument, then I've done just fine. As I've already stated, OSR envelopes all states of spirituality and being, be they snide, stupid, or otherwise. I think Christianity is absolutely silly; and this attitude I have toward Christianity is an example of the openness of OSR.

Imagine if we went the other direction with OSR, then we'd be mandating behavior and ethics and attitudes...sounds extremely familiar doesn't it? Sidehugs anyone?

I think Christianity is absolutely silly; and this attitude I have toward Christianity is an example of the openness of OSR.

What I meant to say here is that the fact that I still publicly display this personal attitude is proof and point to my proposition of the openness of OSR. OSR does not regulate your ethics in any fashion. That's already been done.
Comment by Jeff H on December 2, 2009 at 12:41am
Right...you don't have to respect others....neither do I, but I choose to. You make it very easy to see what a world following "OSR" would be like. One that derides others... oh joy! So much to look forward to.

Ah see...with such a remark as that you make it easy to see one who's beliefs are driven by want and wish, and not logic or reality. Oh joy; so much to look forward to...or back on.
